Security Cameras
Security Camera Installation in Toronto
Professional surveillance planning, clean low-voltage wiring, and camera placement that prioritizes usable footage—not just “coverage.” Designed for premium homes, condos, and commercial spaces across the GTA.
A security system that works in real life
We design camera layouts around entrances, sightlines, lighting, and practical recording needs. Then we install the cabling and hardware so the system stays stable, looks intentional, and remains serviceable for upgrades.
Prefer a system that can grow over time? Pair cameras with structured wiring from our Network Installation & Structured Wiring service.

Services
Security camera installs for homes and businesses
We supply and install systems that fit the environment, the building constraints, and how you want to use footage. That includes the recorder, storage strategy, and a clean network foundation where required.
Recommended for premium properties
A reliable camera system depends on infrastructure—power, network layout, and recorder placement. If your project needs a robust backbone, combine this with structured wiring.
For wall-mounted display setups in offices or boardrooms, see Commercial TV Installation.
Residential systems
Outdoor and indoor coverage designed for clear, face-level capture and practical alerting.

Workflow
A repeatable process that prevents “blind spots”
Security installs fail when placement and infrastructure are treated as an afterthought. Our process is designed to produce predictable outcomes: clear coverage, stable recording, and practical access.
We confirm coverage zones, camera height, and lighting conditions, then plan cable paths and recorder placement.
We run and terminate low-voltage cabling cleanly, then label endpoints so future service remains simple.
We mount cameras securely, verify alignment, and confirm stable power/network connectivity.
We set recording schedules, alerts, storage retention, and remote viewing access based on your preferences.
Common planning decisions
- Where the recorder lives (ventilation, access, noise, discrete placement)
- PoE vs Wi-Fi based on reliability and building constraints
- Night vision and lighting considerations (glare, reflections, distance)
- Storage retention based on risk profile and use cases
- Notification tuning to avoid constant false alerts
For systems that integrate with broader automation, see Control4 Installation.
Solutions
Camera types and where they perform best
Outdoor fixed cameras
Ideal for consistent coverage of entries, driveways, and side access points where reliability matters.
Doorbell and entry cameras
Optimized for face-level capture with practical notifications and clear two-way audio when needed.
Wide-angle coverage
Useful for larger zones like yards, loading bays, and storefront approaches—balanced against distortion.
Infrastructure matters
A camera install is often a networking project in disguise. If you need a stronger foundation—cabling, switching, or improved layout—start with Network Installation & Structured Wiring or add support from Wi-Fi Troubleshooting & Optimization.
FAQ
Security Camera Installation FAQs
What does a typical security camera installation include?
Most installs include coverage planning, mounting, low-voltage cabling (when required), recorder setup, storage configuration, and remote viewing setup. We also confirm alerts and recording schedules match how you want to use the system.
Do you recommend PoE (wired) cameras or Wi-Fi cameras?
For reliability, wired PoE systems are typically preferred because power and data are delivered over a single cable and performance is stable. However, Wi-Fi can be appropriate in buildings where cabling pathways are limited—especially when the network is optimized.
Where should the recorder (NVR) be located?
We select a location that balances ventilation, access, and discretion. For commercial sites, that often means a secured back office or network area. For homes and condos, we choose a quiet, protected space with stable power and network access.
Can you upgrade an existing camera system?
Yes. We can add cameras, replace the recorder, improve coverage zones, and improve wiring quality. In many cases, small placement changes and better configuration deliver meaningful improvements without replacing everything.
How do I get an accurate quote?
Share your property type (home, condo, commercial), how many cameras you want, the key coverage zones, and whether you prefer a wired PoE approach. If you have an existing system, include the brand/model or a photo of the recorder and camera locations. Then use Contact Us to request a quote.
