What does the Outdoor Set do for your home?
Turn on the app and your deck, patio or pool area plays music at the same quality as any room inside the house. No portable speaker balanced on a railing, no phone propped against a window, no sound that disappears the moment you walk past the barbecue.
- One playlist follows you from the kitchen island to the pool chairs, without switching devices.
- The backyard becomes its own zone too, playing a different station while the house plays something else.
- Two sealed, IP66-rated speakers stay mounted outside year-round, through freeze-thaw cycles and July humidity, without a cover or a teardown each fall.

Starts with the same jazz playlist that was playing in the kitchen while you cooked, no phone swap, no second speaker. Guests arrive and someone bumps the volume from their seat using the Sonos app, without hunting for a remote.
A July afternoon by the pool
In Etobicoke or Oakville calls for something upbeat while the kids are in the water. The patio zone runs on its own, separate from whatever is on inside, until everyone moves indoors for dinner and you group the zones back together with one tap.
Boxing Day, minus fifteen and snow on the deck
Nobody is outside, but the speakers are still bolted to the wall exactly where they were mounted in June. Nothing gets brought in, wrapped or stored for winter. That is the point of a speaker built for it.
What does SetupTeam do with it?
We plan the placement, run the wire, mount the speakers and tune the amp for your space, as part of a full Sonos installation.
Choosing placement
We walk the space with you and pick two mounting points that cover the patio, deck or pool area evenly, factoring in the 80° horizontal spread of each speaker and where people actually sit.
Wiring
We run speaker wire from the Amp's location to each mounting point, sized and routed to hold up outdoors, then land it on the gold-plated spring terminals.
Mounting
Each speaker sits on its included FastMount bracket, which pivots a full 180 degrees and locks in place, so we aim the sound at your seating area rather than the side yard. Grilles are magnetic and paintable if you want them to disappear against a wall colour.
Amp placement
The amplifier itself stays indoors, in a closet, cabinet, media room or basement near your network, connected to your home network (wired or Wi-Fi) and joined to your Sonos system.
Tuning
The Amp applies its own DSP and overdrive protection built specifically for these speakers, matched to the outdoor space. Trueplay room tuning is not available on this speaker line, so our installer adjusts levels and balance for your space during setup instead.

What does the Outdoor Set cost installed?
The Sonos Outdoor Set is $2,183, delivered free anywhere in the GTA. Once your order reaches $1,500 in Sonos hardware, app setup (account, Wi-Fi connection, room naming) is included at no charge. Reach $3,000 in hardware and you also get a $150 installation credit, valid for 12 months.
That included setup covers the Sonos side: getting the Amp and speakers on your network and into the app. It does not cover mounting the speakers outside or running the wire to them, because that work depends on your deck, siding and existing wiring.
Installation labour, the mounting and wiring described above, has no fixed published price. We quote it after seeing photos or visiting the site, because a stucco wall, a composite deck rail and a stone patio each take different work. Buy the set from us and that labour is 25% off, with a $200 minimum visit.

Will it work with what you already own?
If you already have Sonos anywhere in the house, the set joins as another room in the same app, on the same account, playing in sync or on its own. One Sonos Amp can drive up to three pairs of passive speakers, so if your outdoor plan also needs a second zone, such as covering both a pool area and a separate patio, one Amp can often run both pairs rather than requiring two amplifiers.
Control stays inside the Sonos app you already use. There is no separate remote, keypad or outdoor-specific app to learn.
