Why SetupTeam

The right anchor for the right wall. Every time — not after the first hole.

Our installers carry masonry anchors, concrete bits, toggle bolts, diamond-tipped drill bits, and snap toggle hardware on every job — not as backup gear, but as standard kit. We assess the wall before drilling anything. Concrete behind drywall gets masonry anchors. Metal stud gets toggle bolts. Stone and tile get diamond bits and grout-line placement. Nothing gets drilled until we know what's there.

We're trained by Sonos and certified by Control4. When a mount needs to go on a surface that most installers won't touch — ICF, porcelain tile, a stone fireplace surround with no grout line in the right place — we figure out the correct approach and do it properly. Every job is covered by $2,000,000 liability insurance and full WSIB. We don't leave until the TV is level, the audio is working, and the cables are hidden.

We also handle Sonos whole-home audio, Wi-Fi and network infrastructure, home cinema, and Control4 automation — often in the same visit.

How It Works

How a Vaughan job gets booked and done.

01

Tell us the wall type

ICF concrete, stone, tile, or standard drywall — each needs different tools. Mention it when you call and we arrive prepared.

02

We scope the run

Large homes often need cable routing through multiple walls or ceilings. We map the run before drilling so there are no surprises mid-job.

03

We drill correctly

Masonry anchors into concrete, diamond bits on tile and stone, toggle bolts on metal stud. The technique matches the material.

04

Everything tested and done

TV level, audio calibrated, cables concealed. We don't leave until it works.

Same-Day Available

Same-day available — call to confirm a time.

ICF, stone, tile, or drywall — every truck arrives with the right kit. Lifetime labour warranty on every mount we install.

Installation Realities

Why Vaughan custom homes need a different approach.

ICF construction changes the anchoring. High ceilings change the placement calculation. Stone feature walls change the drilling technique. Each of these needs a specific response — not a generic one.

01

ICF walls — concrete inside drywall

Insulated Concrete Form is the structural system of choice in many Woodbridge, Maple, and Kleinburg custom builds. The interior surface looks like normal drywall. Behind it is a solid concrete pour. Standard toggle bolts and hollow-wall anchors are useless here. We use hammer-drilled masonry anchors rated to the TV's dead load plus dynamic load, torqued to spec.

02

High ceilings and viewing angle

Vaulted ceilings in the 14–18 foot range change the TV placement significantly. The standard rule — screen centre at seated eye level — doesn't account for proportionally taller rooms. We calculate optimal placement based on your actual seating position and ceiling height, not a default formula. The wrong height is permanent.

03

Stone and porcelain feature walls

Stone surrounds, porcelain tile, and travertine accent walls are common in Vaughan homes. Drilling these incorrectly cracks tile, splits grout lines, or shatters stone faces. We use diamond-tipped masonry bits, slow rotation speed, and controlled pressure. Grout lines are preferred where they exist.

04

New build pre-wiring window

If you're in a Vaughan custom build and drywall hasn't closed yet, now is the right time to run TV, in-ceiling speaker, and structured data cabling. Retrofitting costs significantly more and looks worse. Pre-wiring typically takes a few hours with a clear floor plan. Get in touch early in the project.

Project Detail

Location
Woodbridge custom home, Vaughan
Wall Surface
Natural stone fireplace surround
  • Diamond bits and slow drilling on natural stone
  • Heat clearance confirmed from firebox
  • Mount angle set for the room's seating layout
  • All cables run inside the wall to equipment cabinet on the adjacent wall
  • Approximately 9 feet of cable run through a single stud bay

Stone surround required diamond-bit drilling at controlled speed to avoid cracking the face. Cable path mapped through a single adjacent stud bay so the entire run hides inside the wall.

OutcomeTV flush above the stone fireplace, mount angle set for the seating layout, all cables hidden inside the wall.

Common Questions

What Vaughan homeowners ask before booking.

We knock, probe with a stud finder, and check the wall thickness. ICF typically reads as a solid mass with no stud spacing — the sensor doesn't find hollow cavities. When in doubt, we start with a small pilot hole before committing to the anchor location. We'd rather spend an extra two minutes confirming than strip a masonry anchor.

Yes. Natural stone and porcelain tile need diamond-tipped masonry bits, reduced drill speed, and controlled pressure through grout lines where possible. We've done this on travertine, granite, slate, and large-format porcelain without a single cracked tile. Heat clearance is measured before committing to the mount height.

We calculate placement based on your primary seating distance and the angle from seated eye level — not the generic "screen centre at eye level" rule, which places the TV too low in rooms with proportionally tall ceilings. We mark the height before drilling and confirm it works from your actual furniture position.

Yes. We route HDMI and low-voltage cables through walls, across ceiling cavities, or under flooring to reach equipment in a different room or cabinet. The route is planned before anything is cut. Typical cable runs in Vaughan custom homes range from 8 to 20 feet depending on the floor plan.

Yes — and this is best done before drywall closes. We run low-voltage conduit and cable for TV locations, in-ceiling speakers, and structured data points. It's significantly less expensive than cutting into finished walls later and gives you a cleaner, permanent result.

Yes. The Slim Fit mount attaches via masonry anchors — same process as any ICF wall mount. The One Connect Box is positioned beside or behind the TV, and the cable is surface-routed in a painted channel since in-wall runs through concrete aren't practical. Art Mode is set up before we leave.

Yes. As an authorized Sonos Gold Dealer we design and install multi-room audio covering living rooms, kitchens, outdoor spaces, and bedrooms. Larger Vaughan homes often have 6–12 zones. We handle equipment selection, placement, cable runs, network configuration, and app setup — all in one project.

Standard drywall mount with your own bracket from $169.99. All-in package with tilt mount and wire concealment up to 65 inches is $299.99. Frame TV installation from $199.99. ICF, stone, and tile walls are quoted individually — typically $50–$100 more than standard drywall depending on surface and run complexity.

Vaughan is a regular service area. Same-day is available most weekdays, next-day almost always. Call with your address and job details and we'll confirm a time — standard jobs are typically scheduled the same day you reach out.

Yes. Every job is covered by $2,000,000 in liability insurance and full WSIB. We're a fully licensed contractor. For high-value custom homes or builder-warranty-protected properties, our certificate of insurance is available before booking on request.
