Shifts, loosens, or comes out of level — we return at no charge
Brick, stone, metal stud, wood stud. We come with the right hardware for all four.
Most TV installers bring one kind of anchor and figure it out on arrival. That works fine on a standard drywall wall in a newer subdivision — and fails on almost everything else. Brick fireplace surrounds need masonry sleeve anchors and diamond bits. Stone and porcelain feature walls need core bits at controlled speed, drilled through grout lines. Metal stud needs toggle bolts. ICF needs hammer-drilled masonry anchors. We carry all of it on every truck.
Our installers are trained by Sonos and certified by Control4. When a soundbar won’t pair, an HDMI connection keeps dropping, or a TV loses Wi-Fi signal after being mounted flush — we diagnose and fix it in the same visit. If we installed something and it’s not working before we leave, we don’t leave.
Beyond the TV: Sonos installation and whole-home audio, Wi-Fi and network troubleshooting, home cinema builds, and Control4 smart home programming — all available in the same appointment.

How a Richmond Hill booking works.
Tell us the area and wall type
South end or north end, brick fireplace or stone feature wall, metal stud or wood stud — we confirm the right tools before booking.
We assess on arrival
Construction confirmed before the first anchor: brick, stone, metal stud, or wood stud. Each gets the correct technique and hardware.
We cable route before drilling
For longer cable runs to equipment in adjacent rooms, the route is planned before anything is cut. South-end homes sometimes need longer runs.
Done and working
TV level, audio calibrated, cables concealed. Everything tested before we pack up.

The south-north divide in Richmond Hill is more pronounced than in almost any other GTA city. Here’s what it means for a TV installation.
Crosby, Devonsleigh, Langstaff — older wood stud
Homes built in the 1970s–90s across the south end are typically wood stud construction with standard drywall. Straightforward mounting. Many have brick fireplace surrounds — these require masonry anchors, diamond bits, and heat clearance measurement before picking a mount height. Standard wall cavities allow clean in-wall cable runs.
Jefferson Forest, Bayview Hill — stone and tile
Newer custom and semi-custom homes in the north end frequently feature natural stone surrounds, porcelain tile feature walls, and custom millwork. Drilling these surfaces without cracking requires diamond-tipped bits, controlled speed, and mounting through grout lines where possible. ICF construction also appears in some north-end custom builds.
Oak Ridges and newer builds — metal stud
Most of the newer construction in Oak Ridges and across the northern boundary of Richmond Hill is metal stud drywall. Toggle bolts are required — wood screws spin freely in metal stud. We confirm framing type before any drilling and carry toggle hardware on every truck.
Cable routing across a split-level city
Both older and newer Richmond Hill homes present cable routing considerations. South-end homes sometimes have finished basements with equipment located well away from the TV wall. North-end homes often have open-concept layouts with equipment cabinets in adjacent rooms. We map the cable run before drilling anything.

Frame TV on brick fireplace — Crosby, Richmond Hill
Brick fireplace surround in a 1984 Crosby home. Diamond masonry bits, sleeve anchors rated at 120kg. Heat clearance measured at 16 inches above firebox. Slim Fit mount level checked from three points. One Connect cable surface-routed along fireplace breast in a painted channel. Art Mode configured before leaving.
Questions Richmond Hill homeowners ask before booking.
Yes. Brick requires diamond-tipped masonry bits, correct sleeve anchors, and a slower, more deliberate drilling process than drywall. We measure heat clearance before picking the mount height and use anchors rated for the TV’s dead load. Brick drilling takes longer than standard drywall — we don’t rush it.
Yes. Natural stone feature walls need diamond-tipped bits, controlled drill speed, and anchor placement through grout lines where the mount pattern allows. We’ve done this in many north-end Richmond Hill custom homes. Stone and tile require more setup time than standard drywall — this is reflected in the quote.
Toggle bolts and snap toggle anchors — they grip from inside the wall cavity. Standard wood screws don’t engage metal stud. We confirm framing type on arrival and carry toggle hardware in multiple ratings. The result is as solid as a wood stud mount when the right anchor is used.
Yes. Masonry anchors through the Slim Fit mount into brick, heat clearance measured from the firebox, One Connect cable routed along the fireplace breast in a painted surface channel. Art Mode configured before we leave. We do this frequently in Crosby and Devonsleigh homes with wood-burning fireplace surrounds.
Yes. Soundbar mounted at the correct height, connected via HDMI eARC and calibrated, all cables in-wall or in a surface channel. As a Sonos Gold Dealer we carry Arc, Beam, and Ray. For brick and stone walls where in-wall runs aren’t practical, a slim painted surface channel is the clean alternative.
We map the route before cutting — through the wall cavity, across ceiling joists if needed, or below baseboard trim depending on the floor plan. South-end homes with finished basements sometimes require longer runs through the subfloor. The route is confirmed and agreed before anything is cut or drilled.
Yes. HDMI-CEC configured so your TV remote controls soundbar volume automatically through HDMI ARC or eARC. Tested before we leave. For setups with AV receivers, multiple source devices, or Control4 smart home integration, we configure the full system to operate from a single control point.
Standard drywall mount with your own bracket from $169.99. All-in package — tilt mount, wire concealment up to 65 inches — is $299.99. Brick and stone surfaces are typically $50–$100 more based on drilling complexity. Frame TV installation from $199.99. All pricing confirmed before booking — no surprises on the day.
Richmond Hill is a regular service area. Same-day and next-day are both frequently available. For brick or stone installs, a brief phone assessment helps us confirm we’re bringing the right bits and anchors. Call or message with your address and wall type and we’ll confirm a time the same day you reach out.
Yes. $2,000,000 liability insurance, full WSIB coverage, fully licensed contractor. Insurance certificates available before booking — occasionally required by condo townhome strata managers or builders during warranty periods in newer north-end custom homes.
